"Why You Bully Me?" is a line uttered by pro e-sport player S1mple during a streaming session. The soundclip was quickly adopted by Fortnite and Overwatch players as a way of expressing anger. It also typically found itself in videogame-themed montages on video-sharing sites.

On February 7th, 2016, YouTube user atypicalFlame uploaded a cut segment from a stream in which pro player S1mple is seen responding to remarks by fellow pro player PTR with the phrase "Why you bully me? (shown below, left). A compilation highlight of different gaming moments with the Ukrainian player that included the scene was then uploaded by the Skooby YouTube channel on February 9th, implying that it may have been shot during a Counter Strike: GO session (shown below, right).

On February 8th, a thread about the segment was created on the subreddit for CS:GO.[1] Users who watched the full stream argued in the thread that the exchange was made in good banter between the two.
On December 19th, 2016, YouTube user Donger uploaded the soundclip with a still photograph of S1mple (shown below). It accumulated to over 2 million views in the next three years (shown below).
Donger would also upload the full 20 seconds segment on September 26th, 2017, gaining more than 2 million views in the next two years.
Starting in 2017, various players making montages of their games on Overwatch and Fortnite started referencing the clip, either in the title of their videos or by reusing soundbites from it, including videos by Anchorage_349 (shown below, top left), SirCinder128 (shown below, top right), Oh Long Jonson (shown below, bottom left), and Golden Ninja 50 (shown below, bottom right).
On November 9th, 2018, an entry was submitted to Urban Dictionary referencing the phrase as an enduring Fortnite meme[2] and it became the top definition on the site. One notable iteration of it was made by famous Fortnite streamer Fe4RLess on August 2nd, 2018 (shown below). It gathered more than 16 million views in less than a year.
